Big news over night, emoze is now on the Nokia Ovi Store. It appeared in the early evening almost magically. If you’ve been thinking about trying emoze it’s now easier then ever to get it and get it for free. I’m planning on doing a video showing how to install it but until then, ping me if you have any problems. On Twitter it’s @emozePushEmail and by email Jeb@emoze.com.

Here at emoze we want to give you the absolute best service we can. We’ve been getting a number of messages from people getting an Error -37 when trying to get their email from Yahoo. We had to remove Yahoo for the time being but we don’t want to leave you without your Yahoo email, that would be inhuman. So here is a work around we came across by Dragos Sbirlea on his blog called Picobit.
Here is a link to the original blog post and below is the short version taken from Dragos’s blog.
To enable the POP3 access for your free yahoo mail account, all you have to change is the preferred content, setting it to Asia.
Select Options->Mail Options, then Account, followed by “Add or edit an account”.
Select, the Accounts link on the left of the windows that opens. From the window that opens, select “Account Information” on the left. Then, set: Preferred Content: Yahoo Asia, by clicking on the Edit link.
Logout and login.
Then, you can enable POP access and change settings, by clicking, from the mail inbox:
Options -> Mail Options -> POP & Forwarding
Now you should be able to get your Yahoo Mail via emoze. Dragos has updated his post so if you have any problems make sure to read it thoroughly.
I hope this helps our users and as always, feel free to email (Jeb@emoze.com) or @ me on Twitter (@emozePushEmail) if you have any questions or need any help.
Big news out of our emoze encampment today. “Emoze Announces Revolutionary New Push Content Platform” , it’s called the Dragon 555. We have been working on this for a while now and I’m happy that it’s up and running.
Moshe Levy, our CEO said it best, “In the frantic pace of today’s world, it is often difficult to keep up with business and personal information. We are proud that Emoze is able to provide a solution that makes life better for our users.”
The Dragon 555 platform provides both Mobile Operators and Enterprises with a total management and control package, enabling them to offer this service to subscribers and still manage the system effectively.
What does this mean for mobile operators and enterprise users? Below is a portion of the release.
For Mobile Operators, Emoze Mobile Push Content offers a true value added service than can entice new subscribers and inspire loyalty in current users. The simple, easy to use management interface allows for easy customization, allowing subscribers to choose which channels they want pushed to their mobile device and exactly how often, either instantly or according to set intervals. Emoze Mobile Push Content is currently offering breaking news and sports coverage featuring the Champions League and counting down to the games in South Africa.
For Enterprise, Emoze Mobile Push Content offers an opportunity to push business news, exchange rates and corporate data directly to their mobile workforce as well as push special offers and other advertising content directly onto the consumer mobile devices of consumers. The smart, user-friendly management tools allow corporate IT to control the system securely and efficiently. As with Emoze’s push email transmissions, all data is compressed and encrypted to protect privacy and never stored on a third party server. In addition to the advantage of instant, no hassle delivery, push consumes less of the battery’s power optimizing usage.
This is a big step, congratulations to the emoze team who worked very hard on this.
emoze got a nice write up by the NokiaFever.com crew today that I wanted to share. We always appreciate when people take the time to write about us. Thanks guys for the nice recommendation. Take a look below I’ve posted their review.
Comparing Emoze Push Email Client against Nokia’s Mail for Exchange, i am actually trying to focus on working with Microsoft Exchange Email accounts. Emoze is a free push email service available for Nokia 5800. You can actually opt between a free one and an enterprise version. The difference being that with the free you can only setup one email account but with an enterprise one you can setup multiple email accounts across POP3/IMAP/Exchange.
I am not trying to say that Mail for Exchange is in any way inferior to Emoze. If you hold an enterprise level secure official Exchange Email account, you may be prohibited from accessing it on your Nokia 5800 or you may need to get special privileges for using an email client on a handheld device. However, one fact that you will agree with is that such an account will always have the OWA (Outlook Web Access) enabled. Thus, with emoze you can use the OWA access to synchronize your email, contacts and calendar which is not available in Mail for Exchange. All that you need to know is the exact URL of the OWA access (Ex – https://webmail.xyzcompany.com), the username and password. A very easy setup. Moreover, what really makes it special is the free PUSH service from Emoze. You get your email delivered to your Nokia 5800 in realtime.
Emoze is a really productive software and i really appreciate the publisher for making it available free of cost for Nokia 5800. It is not only designed professionally but it is also very low on the data usage.

Emoze and Globe Telecom partnering to launch Push Email in the Philippines. The service is a revolutionary unlimited mobile email service called UNLIMAIL on the youth-oriented prepaid brand Globe Tattoo.
That’s the big news, now what does that mean you ask. It means that the (generally youth) users of the ULMIMAIL service will get emoze push email everywhere they go, from the beach to school to an office, they will always be connected. Some of us, like myself, are familiar with this concept and have been living this way for years. But in my understanding this is a whole new concept for the young people in the Philippines. Hopefully with unlimited access to their email ranging from Hotmail, Gmail, ISP email, and work emails this will give change their lives in a positive manner.
Push Email has the potential to take a piece of the action away from SMS/text messaging with the introduction of hight-speed mobile internet.
UNLIMAIL is currently offered on Globe Tattoo on most Symbian and Java handsets they sell.
Emozes CEO, Moshe Levy said “We are proud to empower Globe subscribers from all walks of life with the ability to enjoy the benefits of 24/7 communication.”
Congratulations to Globe Telecom and to my coworkers at emoze.
I missed this with all the hubbub of the 2 big mobile tech shows I just attended but I wanted to make sure to share with you a portion of a GSMArena blog post reviewing the Samsung S5620 Monte. In it emoze was mentioned and I wanted to thank the GSMArena guys for that. Here’s our section
The Emoze app offers push updates for your Gmail, Outlook WEB Access, Facebook and generic POP3 and IMAP email accounts.

This was part of one of their famous extensive device reviews.
Thanks from the emoze team!
Someone asked me this question recently and I’ve been trying to answer it myself. I know there are different interations of Exchange and I know emoze doesn’t cover them all but I must say, I don’t have an answer yet.
My main concerns from a pro-sumers point of view is that I have my calendar, contacts and email on my phone and in sync. I know some users only really care about having their email in sync.
What do you use
emoze for? Is it missing anything? What does Exchange do that emoze doesn’t? Please be gentle, I have feelings you know…
Personally I’m exstatic with my emoze experience even before I worked for them. It does everything I need it do to and then some.
Thoughts???
Don’t forget, if you ever need help I’m available at Jeb@emoze.com or on Twitter at

My friend Rafi came to visit for a week and at the same time I had gotten a new Windows Mobile phone to review, the HTC Tilt 2. Rafi was inthralled because he had never used such an advanced phone that had the internet connected. I offered Rafi the chance to use the phone for the week he was visiting and he fell in love. I made sure to hook him up with emoze and in return he promised me a review. Enjoy his review and remember it’s his first time with email on a phone.
“Push email? What the heck is that?” Was the first thing I asked Jeb when he suggested I use an application to get my email to my new phone. The phone already came with an email service, why bother with this one? Inadvertently, I saw the utility of using Emoze and not the built in service. As I’m a gadget neophyte, I mistakenly installed Emoze without disabling the built in service. I realized that Emoze routinely delivered my emails as soon as they came in whereas the built in service was several minutes or more delayed. Why not use a service that’s free, faster, and in every measurable sense better? I was sold.
Sending and receiving emails was simple and it synched with my email account (Gmail) so I didn’t have duplicates of emails or emails that were marked read on my phone were then marked read on my server and vice versa. I would like to see however a version that syncs with my contacts in the future.
Aside from a slight error (I accidentally downloaded and installed the wrong version of Emoze for my phone which caused some technical hiccups with the phone) I was very pleased with Emoze and would absolutely recommend and run it on my next phone.
Clearly Rafi enjoyed using emoze on the HTC Tilt 2. Rafi has vowed to get himself a descent smart phone and use emoze as soon as he can. Thanks for the review.
If you would like to get emoze just browse to m.emoze.com from your mobile browser.
Here goes the second writing of this blog post.
I’ve been using the Google Nexus One for a few weeks now on and off. I it’s good but not great. I usually use a Nokia E71 with emoze which I love. I do a whole lot of email on my phone and really enjoy emoze and that’s my problem with the Nexus One. The email isn’t emoze. It’s not nearly as good of an experience on the N1 with the built in email app then the E71 with emoze.
My biggest gripe is that I can’t see the email address that sent me the email. I also can’t see the email address they sent it to. I have almost a dozen email addresses I get email at and I need to know exactly where they’re being sent.
I know this is the emoze blog and I’m supposed to gush about emoze here but I really do enjoy using the service and the fact that it’s gone 100% free now just makes it all that much better.
I would imagine that if I had emoze on my N1 I might just switch over and keep my E71 as a back up. What about you? Would you like to see emoze for Android??? Let me know.
NOTE: I know I wrote about this already but I truly can’t get over how much I like the Nexus One but can’t get past it’s email app.

Huge Huge news coming out of the emoze camp. The newest version of emoze as always is free, but now the free version includes all the the Pro bonuses. It’s to late right now to name them all but if you ever wanted the best push email on your mobile phone now is the time to get it. Get the new build of emoze for free at m.emoze.com. I’ll have more info about it this week and if you have any questions, I’m all ears…
